The James A. Redding Company has designed and built over 200 three-stage sampling systems worldwide. We design and build each system to meet the specific needs of our clients.
A three-stage sampling system is the right choice when the quantity of the primary sample is too large for economical crushing and an adequate final sample can not be obtained using a two-stage system.
How it works:
The Nine-Iron primary swing sampler extracts a primary sample increment from the customer's moving belt. The primary sample increment is conveyed to the SWS secondary swing sampler, which takes the secondary sample increment. The secondary sample increment is then directed to the sample crusher to be reduced to the desired particle size.
The SWS tertiary swing sampler or DTS traveling hopper tertiary sampler will then extract the tertiary (final) sample increment. The extracted sample will then be deposited into a single container or a pre-selected container on a multi-position sample collector. The secondary and tertiary sample rejects can be handled in a variety of ways.
