This after-crushing sampler uses a traveling hopper above a fixed Type-C cutter with a rounded bottom. It is used in either a two-stage or three-stage sampling system. The final sample is extracted as the hopper passes at a constant speed over the fixed stationary cutter. Sealing plates cover the cutter opening completely, preventing contamination when the hopper is parked.
The hopper is driven by a hydraulic cylinder with a self-contained power unit or by an electromechanical drive. The hopper, rounded-bottom cutter and all areas in contact with the sample are stainless steel. Additionally, the replaceable cutter lips are easily adjustable. To provide an accurate sample, our sampler housing is dust-tight, with gasketed inspection and maintenance doors.
